Finished Project

As most of you know if you are a follower of the blog, that I have been working on my downstairs bathroom since March. I am happy to say that it is done. I finished about a week ago and we have our first guest in the house using it this week. I am very happy with the project overall. It was a huge learning process and I am very happy with the resources and people I had along the way to help me. Check out the before and after shots of the bathroom.

The old shower was 32" x 32". Quite cozy to those who had showered down there. In my four years here I had never showered downstairs.

All in all here is a run down of the total project:

1. Tore out old flooring shower, vanity, trim, toilet , a few walls and framing
2. Expanded shower and built two new walls
3. Added light into shower
4. Built custom shower pan for base of shower
5. Tiled shower floor, walls and bathroom floor
6. New toilet, vanity, trim, shower fixtures and piping
7. Custom shelf, new mirror, artwork (images I took)
8. New paint on walls and ceiling

So pretty much a complete gut job. I loved demolition, hated drywall, grouting I could do better on but am very happy with the finished project.

Looking forward to many family and friends hanging out in my new bathroom :)

Myles Robert Update

This past week I spent the week in Wisconsin shooting video for work. I was lucky enough to be about 20 miles from Steve and Gretchen's so i stayed with them for the week. Which means I got to spent some quality time with Myles. He is 9 months now and is a great little guy. He is smiley, laughs and loves to eat and play his piano. Check out some pictures and a video of him giggling.

The New Bike

Got this a few weeks ago but have not had a chance to get any pictures up. I turned in my last bike last fall so when my name came up again in the system on April 8th I had scouted all of my options. The unit I found was one the one I really wanted. Since the first time I saw this bike I wanted one. And now it is mine for the next two years. Check it out!
