One Final Image of France...

I know some of you have been missing my blogs lately. I am sorry for putting you through the pain. It has been crazy since I have been home. Work is great, but busy. I redid my bedroom completely(paint, furniture, artwork) and also redid the living room, bathroom and kitchen artwork, and am now trying to get started on my scrapbook.

When I last left off I think I was heading home. But I want to share a few pictures of my trip with my mom and dad.

We did a lot of the same stuff that I had done with Kate and Shannon. Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence. It was a great trip with great weather.

Near the office we found a secluded place called Lac Vert, Lake Green translated. It was a half hour drive up a mountain. This lake was as cold and clear as I have ever seen. It is pure mountain water. It was gorgeous. Check out some pictures.

Now that I am home I am focusing on work, getting caught up with friends and family and trying to relax when I can.

Leaving France

As I look back on my 3 ½ months in France, it all seems like a blur. The trip was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was an amazing learning experience for me and my job, and also for me personally. I lived in some mountain cottages, up in the hills nestled in the Alps. It was gorgeous and every day I was amazed by my views.

I was blessed to have some great friends and family come over to share my experience with me. I wish my sister and Henry could have made it over, but I have a feeling I will be going back in the future.

My assignment taught me so much about my job and how the world works outside of Polaris Corporate. My main project during the assignment is going well and I am really proud of what I learned and what I hope to continue to learn. I worked with some amazing people in the France office who were patient with me and always willing to teach me new things.

Being back home has been great. I swear I have not sat down in the 10 days since I have been home, but I love it. I have redone my entire bedroom, with the help of Katie, and printed some amazing pictures from my trip to put all over the house.

Home Sweet Home

I guess some people miss my blog when I am away for a while…. But anyway, I am home now. I got home last Thursday with mom and dad. We had a great trip to Italy and they spent some great days around my place in France.

The drive to Italy was crazy as it was an Italian holiday, and every Italian and their mother was out driving with us that day. We spent a couple days in Cinque Terre and then stopped in Pisa on the way to Florence. I think we got all of the foods mom wanted to try crossed off of our list right away. Creme brulee, tiramisu, lasagna pesto, some good wine and much more.

We went to an amazing museum in Florence and walked around the city all afternoon. We were pretty spent after walking for 3 days.

Mom and dad spent a couple days at my place relaxing and a couple days in Chamonix. Check out the highlights from our trip. It was one for the scrapbooks.
