March 23, 2008- So this year's Easter was spent half on an airplane and half in Lulea, Sweden. We headed overseas for our International Snow Meeting and spent the first 3 days setting up and getting ready. All went very well and the weather and location was spectacular. After 2 days of meetings and presentations, I got to spend the next morning riding snowmobiles through the trails.
The hotel was amazing. I stole the villa for 3 of us girls so we had out own lodge for the time we were there. It was quite the pad to crash in. It happened to be filled with about 20 dead animals hanging on the walls. The fox scared me the most when I came around the corner the first time, but you get used to them.
On our closing night event for our portion of the meeting we were excited to have some great dinner and live music. The reindeer could have been cooked a little more, but it was still good.
We had our Swedish Idol sales manager perform for us with his band. He is an amazing performer. Following him we had the Rednecks perform. They are well know for their big hit, Cotton Eyed Joe. It was a great night and I got to hang with the band following their performance. I may have stole the guys fiddle, but I gave it back.
Those of you who have traveled internationally know the variety of foods you encounter. I have gotten used to the reindeer and actually enjoy it. I even tried reindeer heart on this trip for the first time. Other firsts were two kinds of caviar and Swedish pizza. Check out the pictures below. Our favorite combination was the chicken, pineapple, and banana. Yes, I said bananas.

I can't bring myself to tell Adam that you liked eating Rudolph :)
Adam was just asking me..."when is Aunt Beth going to post some more pictures?"
